DAY 1 : TRANSFER AIRPORT TO YOUR GOLDEN CUPIDS LUXURY HOTEL
You will be met at Chiang Mai Airport and transferred to Golden Cupids Hotel, set in beautiful tropical scented floral gardens. On arrival, check in formalities are carried out whilst you sip a cool freshly squeezed fruit juice. After your hosts welcome, you are free to enjoy the Hotel facilities, swim, sun bathe, or take a Thai herbal massage or steam treatment, before a Banquet Style Thai Dinner in the Watergarden restaur

DAY 2 : ELEPHANT SHOW - RIDING - BAMBOO RAFTING & OX CARTING - CHIANG
(FULL DAY INCLUDING BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER)
Today you have a real opportunity to be close to and photographed with elephants. You can feed sugar cane and bananas to the elephants under the careful supervision of their mahouts.
Later you witness elephants at play and at work followed by a short safari ride at the edge of the forest. Ask your mahout to photograph you as you enjoy this unique experience.
Lunch at a local Thai restaurant.
After lunch you take a sedate ride on a bamboo raft skillfully piloted by a Thai pole man. Depending on the time of day you may see monkeys or exotic birds as you peacefully journey downstream. Next you take a short car ride to the start of your ox cart experience, this was the usual method of Thai village transport until quite recently and the introduction of the motor cycle and iron horse. Isolated villages in Chiang Mai still use buffalo and oxen as did their ancestors over the last 500 years. On the way home you are taken to a beautiful Thai Orchid Farm where you can luxuriate among the profusion of multicoloured flowers. You can also witness a unique process of developing silver and gold jewellry from live orchid blooms.

DAY 3 : THE KING'S PARK - CHIANG MAI AND WAT PRATHAT DOI SAKET (TEMPLE)
(FULL DAY INCLUDING BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER)
The programme for today is somewhat away from the usual tourist attraction and gives an insight into how Thailand's privileged support and improve the lives of village people.
On this unique experience, Golden Cupids guests are fortunate to be escorted by the knowledgable hotel owner. She is holder of the King's medal award, and H.R.H. Princess Sirinthorn gold broach for her dedication to the less fortunate.
The King's park was developed by His Majesty King Phummipol as a project to help farmers diversify from the traditional rice growing. You will see how fish farming was introduced to wet land and fruit and herb cultivation taught for dry areas. Experiments are also being carried out for breeding giant frogs to provide delicious fresh meat.
The gardens and lakes all have a natural beauty and for the energetic there is an interesting 1 hour walk thro the Wild Peacock Forest. Whilst seldom seen, the birds raucous calls evidence their abundant presence.
Visit Wat Prathat Doi Saket, temple on the low hill, where you can view the very unigue wall paintings.
Return to your luxury Hotel for late lunch with perhaps time to enjoy the Hotel facilities before a Thai Banquet Dinner in the Watergarden Restaurant.

DAY 4 : MAE ONN CAVE - HOT SPRINGS - MINERAL BATHS & TROPICAL GARDENS - CHIANG MAI
(FULL DAY INCLUDING BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER)
After breakfast, take half an hour journey to southeast Chiang Mai to explore Mae Onn Cave. After a long walk at the cave, we will take you to relax at San Kam Peang hot springs. Take your bathing costumes today if you want to rejuvenate in the hot mineral spring water. By prior arrangement private rooms can be booked for individual or group sessions, alternatively you can swim or bathe in the large mineral water swimming pool. The less energetic can cook eggs in the boiling pool or simply sip a cool drink overlooking the beautiful formal flower gardens, before returning to the facilities of your resort luxury hotel.
Lunch at the Hot Springs or similar restaurant.
After lunch visit the famous Umbrella factory and witness the amazing artistry of the decorating artists. You may like to take a plain shirt or skirt for own choice of decoration. The Jewellry Factory and Thai Silk looms are close by. For those who understand the product there are many bargains to be found.

DAY 5 : BHUBING WINTER PALACE -WAT PRATHAT DOI SUTHEP GOLDEN TEMPLE - CHIANG MAI ZOO (PANDA) & CHIANG MAI CITY TOUR
(FULL DAY INCLUDING BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER)
Your first attraction today is Bhu Bing Palace, it is the royal winter residence in Chiang Mai where the Royal family stays during seasonal visits to the people in the northern part of Thailand. Then about 15 minutes journey to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep the Golden Temple on the mountain. You travel the short journey by the lift that takes you up 3,520 feet above sea level to the magnificent Golden Temple. For the very fit you may like to mount the 350 steps between Thailand's most famous Nagas.
Lunch at a typical Thai restaurant followed by the short trip by road to Chiang Mai Zoo to visit Panda family and other variety animals.
Return to Golden Cupids luxury hotel with perhaps enough time or for a swim, Thai massage or visit to the herbal steam room before dinner at your Hotel's Watergarden restaurant.nt>

DAY 6 : CHIANG MAI'S FAMOUS THA WAI HANDICRAFT VILLAGE - WOOD MUSEUM - ROYAL FLORA GARDEN
(FULL DAY INCLUDING BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER)
Most men hate shopping, but this is a day the majority enjoy as much as the ladies. Chiang Mai is noted for its skilled artisans and the quality of their work. Tha Wai is the largest handicraft village in the world with hundreds of craft businesses and workshops concentrated in this area. Wood carving, silver and coppersmithing, textile and many other, artistic trades can be witnessed first hand. It is said it takes a month to see only a small portion of the goods on offer, so be prepared to return.
Visit Baan Roi An Pan Yang, museum famous for wood carving collection - then spend your leisure time exploring the beauty of Royal Flora Garden .

DAY 7 : HILLTRIBES VILLAGE INCLUDING THE LONG NECK LADY VILLAGE -CHIANG MAI - ORCHIDS & BUTTERFLY FARM

The village inclundes 5 tribes - The Long Neck is one of them. The village located at Mae Rim, Chiang Mai, a short journey from Golden Cupids Hotel.
You will be intrigued to learn the original reason for wearing the neck rings and witness their wearers current way of life. The Karen tribe is stateless, so most of the villagers welcome tourists as their way of earning a living.
Visit to the nearby orchids & butterfly farm.

DAY 8 : THE WATERFALL AND MAE NGAD DAM EXPERIENCE - CHIANG MAI
(FULL DAY INCLUDING BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER)
This is another Thai day away from the usual tourist attractions. For most of the year the waterfall provides cascades of crystal clear mountain water over the slip proof pumice rock, old and young alike can safely enjoy sitting or climbing in the waterfall. An ideal spot for photographers and honeymoon couples. Next you visit the Mae Ngad Dam for a longtail boat ride on the sparking pure water to lunch at the Island restaurant.
Return to Golden Cupids Hotel in time for a swim, massage or steam before a Banquet Dinner in Golden Cupids Watergarden restaurant.

DAY 9 : An opportunity to enjoy your Hotel luxury followed by an insight into Thailand's spectacular night life.

The evening : a spectacular Thai Dance, Music and Dinner Show. Followed by a night trip to the famous and exciting Chiang Mai Night Bazaar with return to your Hotel around mid night.

DAY 10 : A horse drawn tour of Chiang Mai history and the conclusion of your Thai experiences

Ancient city of Chiang Mai tour by horse carriage. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit Chiang Mai Cultural Centre and city tour.
Return to Golden Cupids Hotel.
Your final Thai Banquet Dinner with Lucky Birthday cake ceremony. After dinner a spectacular Hot Air Balloon Display, made and conducted on by local village boys.
