The tourist is able to visit a central area to purchase an amazing range of products at a fraction of city prices. All crafts are represented from intricate jewelry, silk and wood flowers, hand painted, umbrellas, teak furniture, pottery, silks, to near life size wooden elephants.
In addition there are the fresh flower, wet fish, meat and vegetable markets near the Chiang Mai city centre.
